The list of my favourite icons from times gone by is a long one. Everyone from Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, Julie Andrews and Brigitte Bardot.
Style icons like these only come around once every so often.

Marilyn Monroe is one of those people that oozed sex appeal, and took the states by storm. Norma Jeane Mortenson, aka Marilyn Monroe, had a hard up bringing and was in and out of foster homes for years before starting out as a model. Monroe got signed for by Twentieth Century Fox and took Hollywood by storm. And being all woman, she is still THE ultimate model. No size zero here ladies.

Brigitte Bardot, an 80's style icon and one of France's most famous models. I love the way she pulls off her bed head hair, and care free look.

Now everyone remembers Shirley Temple as this annoying lil singing actress. Shirley was born in April 1928 and she grew into a very beautiful and well known actress.

Lesley Lawson, aka Twiggy, famous for her eyes, just like Cara Delevingne is today with her eyebrows. And she is a famous face in the modelling industry and is even a judge on Tyra Bank's Americas Next Top Model.

Julie Andrews, actress /model in her early days... Amazingly flawless skin, auburn hair and beautiful features, i adore her. Her roles in Mary Poppins as the lead and of Maria from Sound Of Music Made her famous and who could forget her role as Queen Clarence of Geneva in The Princess Diaries.

When i say Breakfast At Tiffany's who do you think of... But Audrey Hepburn. Stunningly beautiful and a style icon through and through.

Although these famous faces are all from a time that life has forgotten, their faces remain the most famous faces in fashion. Icons are the only word I can think of to describe these amazing, strong and strikingly beautiful women.

I'll try do a post on the world famous Edie Sedgwick, Andy Warhol's muse and best friend for many years. She is my ultimate favourite model and I simply adore her!

Here is a picture just to show you who she is. I think this post is long enough so hang on in there for the next post all about her life.

P.s sorry its been so long since I've done a post. I've been sick and then on top of that i had exams and work! Not a nice combo!

Anyways, enjoy my lovely peeps!
